die women abuser
Hi my name is Ashley I am doing a social issue on domestic violence. I would like to mention some things about how I feel about domestic violence like for example being in a abusive relationship is not helpful for you. Also I feel that women's shouldn't be in a abusive relationship because it can cut down your life line and I feel that why do men need to beat on women to make them feel like a bigger person. And I think that when a women gets beat and she gets beat even more I believe that it is her fault because she could have left him and moved on. I feel that way because I know a lot of people that been in abusive relationships and most of them died because they stood with their abuser.

Domestic Violence
Dear Young Women:
Dear young women all over the world that are in an Abusive Relationship. My name is Ashley Edmondson. I live in the Bronx, and I am in 7th grade. I would like to mention some things to all of you about domestic violence. Domestic violence is a very horrible thing in a relationship. It can harm anyone! Women between the ages of 15 and 55 can find themselves in a Domestic Violence situation/relationship. Do you ever think when your boyfriend/husband is hitting you that he will ever try to kill you? Well I'm sure you never knew that three to four million women in the United States are beaten in their homes each year by their husbands or boyfriends. Some women stay in their abusive relationships because they are not aware of what is happening, or what could really happen. However, it really is pain and soreness that they feel. There seems to be a rise in Domestic violence cases now! It is at the top of the line. Domestic violence is happening more than rape, muggings, and car accidents combined. Some people think it's difficult to get out of an abusive relationship. That may be true, but it is worth the try if you ask me.
Look you may be wondering why I am writing you. I am writing you because I am trying to save your life. Ike & Tina Turner had an abusive relationship. Tina Turner was a very successful person in the music industries that loved to make music. However, when she would go home to Ike she would always do something wrong that made him hit her. She was abused raped and drugged by him. Tina stayed in that relationship as long as she could. Finally one day she decided to put her fear to the side and leave Ike Turner. She didn't know what her life would be like without Ike. He had told her time and time again that she was nothing without him and would be nothing without him! He was wrong! When her divorce was finalized in 1978 she made her hit single What's Love Got to Do With It. You see, that is one of the tricks that a person plays on another one when they are abusing them. They try to lead you to believe that you can't make it without them. Tina did so much better without Ike Turner! You may think that it is different because she is in the music business. But she is a human just like you so why can't you leave your abuser too.
With Much Love,
Ashley Edmondson

I to have lost someone close to me which was my cousin Anastasia. She was in an abusive relationship with her husband. She went to college. She was a very smart and intelligent girl that loved her husband, and he wouldn't stop beating on her. By the time she realized that she didn't need him and that she should leave him,it was too late for her. He killed her by raping her to death and beating on her. Also I read about a woman named Heather Thompson that was in an abusive relationship. She is still alive to tell her story. Her ex-husband used pliers, a broom handle, and a belt to abuse her 15 years ago. His abusive left Heather with permanent disabilities. Now she is like me, she feels like it is her job to warn others about the effects of domestic violence. She goes to high schools to talk to young people about her story, and to try to give help to anyone that needs it out there.
I hope that I said something in this letter that got your attention! I need my letter to get through to you. Yeah ,maybe the guy you are with says that he loves you and says he doesn't mean to hurt you! Don't fall for the lies and tricks that abusers tell their victims! If he didn't mean to hurt you and he really loved you he wouldn't beat you! Take my advice and get away from that relationship and move on to have a better and longer life. I never got to say good-bye to my cousin so if you stay in your relationship your family might not ever get to say good-bye to you. Do you know that 75% of women in American die while they are still with their abuser? Please take my advice as a guide to a better long healthy life.
